Smoke Damaged Warehouse

Fire can happen suddenly and without warning. While working in the warehouse a smoker left his cigarette in a can that smoldered and caught the other left over cigarets on fire. The can was too close to a couch that was stored which also caught fire and smoked up the entire warehouse.

SERVPRO of Washington County cleaned the ceiling of the warehouse row by row using ladders and scaffolding. The rest of the content was also cleaned thoroughly to remove the nicotine and smoke smell. Both nicotine and the synthetic couch created a thick black smoke that is not easily cleaned without the right cleaning chemicals.
